Consulate

General information

The Royal Danish Consulate in Poznań was established at the beginning of 2004, with the permission of the authorities of the Republic of Poland. On 27 October 2003 in Copenhagen, the Queen of Demark nominated and established Mr. Krystian M. Ziemski as the Honorary Consul.

The consulate covers the region of Wielkopolskie and Lubuskie Provinces.

Consulate services

The goal of the Consulate of the Kingdom of Denmark is to assist Danish citizens during their stay in Poland, for example in case of the loss of personal documents.

The consulate cooperates closely with the Consulate Section of the Royal Danish Embassy in Warsaw.

The temporary passport

A Danish citizen who has lost a passport as a result of, for example theft, may apply to the Honorary Consulate in order to obtain a temporary passport.

Required documents:

  • a document confirming identity (for example an ID card, driving license)
  • two passport photographs (1 for application, 1 for passport)
  • passport application form (available at the Consulate)

The cost of issuing a temporary passport amounts to PLN 538, or EUR 127.

Extending a passport’s validity

A Danish citizen whose passport’s validity has expired may apply to the Honorary Consulate in order to extend the passport’s validity.

Required documents:

  • the passport with expired validity
  • passport application form (available at the Consulate)

The cost of extending the passport’s validity amounts to PLN 538, or EUR 127.

Issues passports for the children under the age of 12

Persons authorized for custody over a child may submit a passport application form personally, that means they have to sign it and submit their passports. If both parents are authorized for custody (always, for example, in the case when they are married), it is not sufficient for only one parent to sign the application form. Children over the age of 8 should be present while submitting the passport application form.

Required documents:

  • the previous travelling document of the child
  • 2 photographs (1 for application, 1 for passport)
  • short copy of the child’s birth certificate
  • transcript of the child’s parents’ marriage certificate (and in case when parents are not married, child custody declaration)
  • passports of persons authorized for child custody (generally of both parents),

The cost of issuing the passport amounts to PLN 538, or EUR 127.
